The archive is corrupted after update backup client

Thread needs solution

I updated all the backup client and now some the backup on some windows machine are giving an error: "The archive is corrupted". I solved this problem on for some windows machine by deleting all the backups in the cloud, but there are some others servers where I don't want to delete the complete backup due a limited upload. How can I solve this problem without deleting the complete existing backup?

In order to check the cloud archive please submit a support case, our support team will address this issue.

As for the error message, it says that the retention of backup has failed. Have you tried disabling retention for this archive and creating new backups without deleting previous slices? It could help to localize the issue.

Disabling retention is not an option, because I want to be able to restore from a longer period. I didn't change anything in the configuration, it's just the client that was updated. How can I open a support case?

Hi Eric,

Disabling the retention would be a temporary measure to check if it is the only reason for the error, this would help us to localize the issue. Obviously you would enable the option after confirming the results.
