HOW LONG TO KEEP: no monthly option

Just running a local backup to disk and I want the retention to be

4 weekly backups for the current month and one monthly backup kept for a year.

I usually have this option, but on this job I only seem to have

Weeks and Days.

Which means to achieve what I want I'd have to keep 52 weeks.

Any ideas why this Monthly option isn't available on certain jobs?

Thanks for reaching out to our Forum. My name is Evgeny, I am from Acronis Service Provider Support.

As far as I understand you would like to preserve backups in a particular way and seem to miss the options to achieve it.

 

According to the detail that you only have "Weeks and Days" in the retention, I can assume you are using the Always-incremental scheme with weekly backups which comes as default.

In order to have a flexible retention policy I would like to suggest to switch the scheme in the backup plan's settings (you will need to edit it) to "Custom"  Capture.PNG
