2728: Renewing the List of Machines in Acronis Group Server Database
Hi I'm hoping to get some help
I've tried to use the above article 2728 to Renew the list of machines in Group Server but keep getting errors no matter what combnation i try to run this command
"[drive letter]:\Program Files\Acronis\GroupServer\ICompGS.exe" /filename "[path to the .txt file]"
It's seems a simple enough command to run , but i keep getting the following errors which is starting to drive me nutz
"Couldn't parse command line"
"Format is: ICompGS /filename "
"The syntax of the command is incorrect."
The process i've used is as i've understood it
1. Create a text file and add servers
Server1@domain.com,Server2@domain.com,Server3@domain.com;
separating servers with commas and last entry a semi colon
2. Save it to D:\ and call it Servers.txt
GroupServer Mgmt Server (same server)
Run the following from a batch file
cd c:\program files\Acronis\GroupServer\ICompGS.exe /Servers.txt
Tried several variations of the above all are failing ...
Could someone please advise a solution or the correct syntax
Cheers

Sorry for a delay in response but that doesn't work either e.g
"c:\program files\Acronis\GroupServer\ICompGS.exe" /TServers: "D:\"
cheers

Nothing seems to work no matter what i try. The worst part of it all is I rebuilt it from scratch at the date of this forum post as I couldn't get the above command to work .
This backups worked perfectly for the last 2 weeks until I discovered today the group task was running outside of it's normal schedule. So i thought the easiest thing was to stop and reset it in the menu ...wrong there is no option (nothing obvious) in the menu to do that !!.
In fact I tried stopping/restarting services on both the host and the remote machines to see if that would help , it simply picks up from where it stopped backing up from and continues waiting for status ????
Acronis help here would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Hello John,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]
The program provides you with the opportunity to stop or restart the task execution. Connect to the computer where Acronis Group Server is installed, click Acronis Group Server management, select Group tasks management. The Group Tasks Management window displays the list of group tasks. To stop or restart the task execution, use the Stop or Restart toolbar items.
