750 GB 2.5" SATA HD disapears

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have Acronis Backup & Recovery 11. I have been using it successfully since Sept. Today, for the first time, I tried to recover a backup I had done of a 110 GB 2.5" SATA HD (backup image on external drive) to a 750 GB 2.5" SATA HD. On the brand new 750 GB HD I made sure to create a partition (whole disk) and format to NTFS before I started the recovery. I also made it active. I noticed that the LED on the drive enclosure that housed the 750GB drive was not blinking to signify that data was being transferred to it. I then opened up My Computer and saw that the 750 GB (actually 698 GB) drive, labeled as D: was gone! I then canceled the restore and went into MS Windows 7 Disk Management and saw that the drive was unallocated. Gone was the partition and the NTFS formatting! I repartitioned it and reformatted it and tried again, and got the same results. I am running version 11.0.17217. I am currently downloading version 17318. Maybe that will help.
