AB&R 10: moving entire configuration to a new server

Hello

Is it possible to move all the entire configuration of a Backup & Recovery 10 setup to another server? We need to re-install an existing server where AB&R 10 is being used to back up the data, so we'll need to re-install AB&R as well. So it's physically the same server, in the same Windows domain, but cleanly re-installed.

Are there official procedures on how to do this? We want to keep the existing configuration of AB&R and re-use the earlier backups that have been made (so we don't have to backup everything again, so AB&R can just resume incrementals & differentials from last time).

Which components of ABR 10 was installed there (agent, Management server, storage node)? Anyway, there is no official procedure. If it was ABR11, you could export and, after reinstallation, import backup plans. As for resuming backups, disk backups will start from scratch for partitions that were created during reinstallation. File backups plans will not be able to continue to backup to existing archives because ABR will generate new MachineID and InstanceID during installation and check them against ones stored in archive's meta information.
