ABR 11 Sector by Sector backup

Thread needs solution

I am using a trial version of ABR 11 to back up a Quantum 10.2 GB disc drive used on a Bailey Control system console. I used a StarTech disc duplicator to create a backup disc; the backup disc successfully boots up and runs without any issues. I want to use ABR to create a disc image and WIndows XP recognizes the disc drive but it does not recognize any file system type. I created a backup plan and selected the sector by sector optionfor that disc. After about 10 seconds an Acronis Task Information pops up and said the backup completed successfully. The archive(1).tib file is only 3K. From what I have read it should create a much larger file if compression is turned off. I used Acronis Disc Director to view the contents of the original disc and there was data on the disc.
The settings I used are:

Backup of Disc 1 - no exclusions
Backup location on disc 2 path is H:\Acronis11\
Start the backup immediately after the plan is created
Full backup
Validate after full backup is complete
no second location
do not convert to a virtual machine
Backup cataloging is off
disable multi-volume snapshot
create snapshots without using VSS
no compresion
disable fast incremental/differential backup
1 simultaneous backup
backup splitting is automatic
no compression
no DRP
re-attempt, if an error occurs is defaulted
log all events
no notifications
no pre/post commands
no pre/post data capture commands
no replication/cleanup inactivity time
sector-by-sector is enabled
no simutaneous VM backup
no restart of a failed task
skip task execution if start conditions are not met

Any suggestions?
