ABR 11 virtual server with deduplication license issues

Thread needs solution

Everything was peachy in Acronis version 10.

Upgraded to abr 11 and they decided to mess with how the appliance talks to the license server.
Now the license does not register as 'used' after upgrading both the server and the appliance.

Removed all acronis software, reinstalled. added 'get all keys' txt file from my accounts web page to the license server. deleted the old appliance, loaded a new one from the new ovf files.

For some reason my 9.1 version is showing as used hehe. I'm about to go nuts. 1 hour waiting for support another 45 minutes waiting for chat support. This is driving me bonkers. This is not the premium support I paid for. Also it's been 7 days since we had a backup!@

I manually added the appliance to the managment server. I've remote connect directly to the appliance and started a backup that way all end up in the exact same error.

Here it is.

Keep in mind the license server DOES show that i have an acronis backup and recovery 11 deduplication for virtual edition upgrade 1 available 1 total 0 used.

If someone has a tip I'd love to hear it.

I use windows 2008 R2 64bit.

Did you manually delete/revoke 9.1 license from license server? Or it just keeps getting used without using 11 upgrade license?

You cannot delete nor revoke the keys as they are 'in use' by nothing.

It keeps using them instead of the 11 keys. it should also be noted that the echo keys are being used to.

The 10 / 11 keys are not. After about 4 hours with tech support last night apparently this is a known issue
they are 'working on'.

In the mean time my business goes on day 8 without a backup. I think it's almost time to switch companies, AppAssure is
trying to win my business.

I'm just a lil ticked with the support given after 5 years of near zealot dedication to pretty much all their products.
Last night it took 2 hours to get ahold of chat support never mind phone support.

Still dead in the water here. Phone support has not returned my call yet. No emails. why isn't there a sticky on this 'known issue' yet?

Demand a trial ABR11 VE key from support. Wait 15 days. Repeat. At least it will work until it is fixed to understand such upgrade pair.

We had the exact same problem. " licenses in used by...nothing. So we simply couln't get backup to work because no available licenses.
To revoke the licenses in use by "nothing" I wnet to, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\LicenseServer\" on our 64 bit server. There I found the exe file called "LicenseServerConsole.exe". Running that one turns out to be perhaps an older version of the licence console. Here I could easily revoke the 2 licenses and even see it was our old serveres using them.
So now we're back on track again and the virtual appliance i using the correkt license after we of course chose the rigt one (right click the virtual appliance and choose Manage licenses).
Try and see if you can get it to work that way.
