ABR disk image is empty
Hi,
colleague of mine has faulty HDD (bad sectors) in his notebook, so we removed it from the notebook and attached it to another desktop PC via SATA.
We installed ABR10 trial on the desktop PC and made an image of partition C: + validation after backup.
Everything passed succesfully with few errors about reading from disk, which was expected as the disk has bad sectors. We've choosed "ignore all".
The image itself has 5GB and since validation passed, we thought its OK.
After notebook came from service with new HDD in it, we tried to restore files from the backup to pre-installed windows, however during restore process ABR10 haven't found any files on the partition image.
The backup has about 5GB. When restoring ABR finds the partition information in the backup (correct size, partition letter, free space), but when I try to restore it, or explore it in windows all I get is Backup folder with empty "C:" folder in it.
I've tried to validate the image again, which passed OK.
Is there any option how can I restore of fix the files from the backup ?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
