Dear,

I have try to backup vsphere 4.1 with Redhat 5.4 64bit OS without issue, however, after restore, it always shows that "MBR Erro 3, MBR Error 1 , press any key to boot from floppy ....."

I have vCenter and licensed, and already deploy agent into ESX(i) Host

I have no idea as both log in backup and restore has no hints in any error

the virtual Linux OS has multiple partition and a RDM partition and using ext3 filesystem format

please help

Dear,

I find the root caused.
During restore if I restore back RDM with System together then it will always show the MBR Error.
I'm now try to restore OS first, then map a new RDM partition to the restored OS, conduct a restore only for RDM partition, then everything seems fine.

But I still got an error occasionally, during restore data to a New RDM, acronis sometimes with error saying that it cannot find valid disk / partition. No mater what I do like restart service or restart server, but wait for while ( half a day in testing), conduct a restore again then the restore progress can completed without error. May be still a bug in update 17311 build version ?
