ABR10 build 11105 Virtual Edition Where is the universal restore??

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I created a bootable resque cd with the virtual edition which should have universal restore already in it. But the bootcd doesn't cantain the UR option. Also when I want to install Universal Restore I says there are no Universal restore licenses on my license server. Thats right because you do not get additional UR licenses with VE.

Please Assist and Solve.

Thanx in Advance

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

The issue is in the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of the product, AUR is already integrated in the program. The fix is available in the latest released build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.

Please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. Check it in Help -> About. You can always download the latest build of the program from your account under Registered Products.

Build 11105 is the latest. So still the problem persists. When the iso is created it ask for drivers to use with universal restore. Only when you startup the bootcd there is no universal restore option available

Hello all,

Jeremy, could you please make sure that you have Universal Restore installed? Please follow to Help -> About section, do you see Universal Restore option listed in the name of the product? If yes, please just register your product (with Universal Restore) under your account at our website, so I can check its serial, and I will send you the link to download ISO file with this option included.

Thank you.

Hello,

I have the same problem : no Universal retore on the rescue CD create with media Builder.

I use the last build of B&R 10.

Could you send me the link to the iso cd image in french (i'am french user)

Thanks

I cannot install universal restore seperately because the option is grayed out. When i install UR by hand(msi file) it states that my license server doesn't have Universal restore licenses. This is right. The only licenses I have are the Virtual Edition licenses. But these licenses should include the universal restore licenses.

This is not a fresh install of build 11105 its and upgrade from the first version of ABR10

Please test this to confirm and solve this and give a workaround.

p.s Also when I start the windows version or the boot iso version universal restore is not mentioned in the title bars...

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you for the clarification!

It was an issue with previous build of our program (the symptoms are exactly the same) - AUR option is grayed out and there's no way to install it, however, CD media does include it and ask for the drivers when necessary.

It looks like there're some traces from previous version in your current one. Could you please completely uninstall your product as it is described in this article and check whether the issue persists?

Thank you.
