ABR10 - Failied to upgrade from 11639 to 12443

Thread needs solution

Trying to update to this latest build and getting this error:

MSI (s) (8C:78) [14:19:29:658]: Product: Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Management Server -- Installation failed.

MSI (s) (8C:78) [14:19:29:659]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Management Server. Product Version: 10.0.12443. Product Language: 1033. Installation success or error status: 1603.

It successfully updated the license server but when it comes to updating the Management server and all other items, it gets to this and fails every time.

I have the same issue, similar error in msi log:

License server updated without any issue, but when I try to update the rest of the program I got a prompt stating lsass.exe is using some file and refuse to proceed with the installation. After hitting cancel the msi log generate the same error as above.

I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience. After releasing build 12443 we released 12457 with a few hotfixes. I would really appreciate if you can try installing that first and if it fails, in the failed installation window there is a button called 'view log'. Please click on it and an msi log in a .txt file will open. Please save it and send it to me. It will help me understand why the installation fails.

During the installation several processes are still in use, that is why you received this warning message. If you click on continue, you can proceed with the installation but the installation will ask for a reboot later on. You can check this article for additional information.

If you are still having issues with the installation, please provide me with an installation log, you can collect it the same way as I mentioned above.

Just in case, if you need immediate assistance, you can always contact our support directly. Please include an AcronisInfo report and an .msi log.
