ABR10 Scheduled backups failure

Thread needs solution

Hello,
looking at the register I found errors in scheduled backups. In other words, I am not sure my PC is protected. I guess is not protected yet.
May somebody understand the attached logfiles and help me resolve the issue?

Thanks in advance
Andre

Still no answer.
In meantime, I uninstalled and reinstalled ABR10.
It works badly, yet.
No support.
Got to throw away all Acronis programs, I'm afraid

Hello Andre,

Thank you for much for your post. I am really sorry for not replying earlier, but I will definitely assist you with resolving this issue.

After studying the logs that you have provided, it looks like there is a problem with memory. I recommend increasing random access memory first and also cleaning up the C:\WINDOWS\Temp folder.

If the solution does not resolve the problem I recommend submitting a support request from your Acronis web-account with an AcronisInfo report.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Thank you Anton,
I got 4 GB RAM memory. is not enough?
Unfortunately, I am experiencing too much troubles with ABR10. It's so hard to explain exactly what happens, because I don't speak english very well. I can hardly understand how ABR10 works. First, I created a ASZ bigger than 200 GB (half HDD capacity, roughly). The ASZ is full in a very short time. Then, apparently there are only old backups there. Second, for every scheduled backup there is an error message. Third, browsing directories where backup files are stored, I cannot understand what files I can safely delete to make room for new backups. Should ABR10 have some utility to do so? Fourth, It's hard to know how many space is needed for scheduled backups and how to optimize the available resources. Fifth, in any case, backups, including increeìmental an differential, are very slow.
It takes more than two hours each and every day for an incremental backup. I can assure you that the PC is new and up to date. Thanks
Andre

Hello Andre,

Thank you for replying.

To make it more convenient for you, I shall number each question/issue that you have with Acronis Backup and Recovery 10.

1. 4 GB of RAM is more than enough under normal circumstances. However, since you are getting those specific errors, any chance the solution offered by me in the previous post have any effect on your backups?

2. The reason for the Acronis Secure Zone to get filled really quickly could be a lack of retention rules. I have attached a screenshot to my post that highlights this option during a backup creation.

3. You mentioned that you are getting constant errors during backup creation. Do you think you could either provide me with those errors, or send me a PM with an AcronisInfo report. Please also let me know the exact days that the errors occur, if you decide to send me the report, it will help me to find the specific errors much faster.

4. I understand that it can be confusing to browse for a specific backup file through Windows explorer. Our software was designed to manage the backups through its interface. I have created an Acronis Secure Zone and made some backups to it on my virtual machine that I use for testing purposes. I have attached a screenshot of that window that shows how to manage backups through our program.

5. To optimize the available resources and calculate space, I would recommend using the retention rules in our program. As I mentioned in point #2, you can check the screenshot that I have attached, for additional details.

6. Can you please provide me with some additional information regarding the speed of your incremental and differential backups. Please note, that a differential backup is larger than an incremental, that is why it could run longer then an incremental backup. Are the backups that you mentioned, which run slow, turn out to be as large as a full backup? Do you run disk defragmentation on your computer?

Please let me know if you have additional questions and I will be more than happy to answer them.

Thank you.
