ABR10AW slow to backup and restore image

Hi I am using ABR10 advanced workstation build 11345, I have the management server installed on my Dell studio XPS Laptop my main operating system C: is 50GB in size, windows 7 ultimate. It's taking over 1 hour to do a full backup of C: I store my backup images on my Qnap Nas box with Jumbo frames set to 9000 and i'm working over a Gigabit network. I restored from a full image yesterday it took several attempts before the image would write back to my Laptop, kept stopping after aprox 30 secs. when it did finally work it took 1 hour 30 mins to restore, this has got to be excessive hasn't it?
please if any one can shed some light why it's taking so long thanks

I have changed from the built in NIC on the laptop to an express card with jombo frames and my backup time is down to 38 mins which is not to bad, I found that the built in NIC although was 1 Gpbs there was not setting for jumbo frames.
I think I will buy an external Hard disc which has esata 300, that should speed up backups.
