ABR10U1 - email notification problem with Server 2008 SMTP Relay
I am testing the email notification of ABR10U1.
At Server 2003 where the SMTP service is enabled for relay, it functions well, if I specify 'localhost' at 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)'.
At Server 2008 where the SMTP service is enabled for relay, it is failed with the following error message:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Error
--------------------------------------------------------------
Error occurred while sending the test message.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Details
Code: 13,107,201(0xC80001)
Module: C:\Program Files\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\mms.exe
Message: Failed to send a test e-mail notification.
--------------------------------------------------------------
However, if I have another SMTP server IP address at 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)', it functions well.
In other words, there is a problem at Server 2008 SMTP relay only.
I am new comer to Acronis. Please give me a hand!

Hello all,
Thank you for your posts and I am sorry for not replying earlier. I will definitely assist you with this issue.
Rulf_T and ws282,
As ws282 already mentioned, we use this article from our Knowledge Base to troubleshoot issues with e-mail notifications in Acronis products.
To make sure that this problem is not related to network connectivity, we recommend trying to setup e-mail notifications for gmail. If they still fail to work, then it is probably a network issue. I suggest to collect diagnostic information mentioned at the bottom of the same article (If none of the solutions help, please collect Windows System Information File, screenshots of all the E-mail settings and a PCAP log (see Collecting PCAP Logs) and submit a support request.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Same problem here, now with acronis backup and recovery 10 for windows.

The other 2003 server notifying trough the same exchange server is working fine....
Any clue...?

Anyone figure out how to fix this. I changed from an exchange 2003 to 2010 server and just my notifications from my Acronis clients stopped coming through. When I try to send a test message I get:
Code: 13,107,201(0xC80001)
LineInfo: 0x1BC4F5700638867;
Module: C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\mms.exe
Message: Failed to send a test e-mail notification.
I know that you are able to authenicate and relay through my mail server because all my backup exec notifications are still coming through.
Im stumped
