ABR11 disk cloning operation does not preserve partition alignment

Product: Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 for Windows (Build 11.0.17440)
Environment: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
Operation: Disk Management > Clone Basic Disk

The system drive was cloned to a raw, unformatted drive using proportional resizing.

Partition Starting Offset of source disk was: 1,048,576 bytes

Partition Starting Offset of cloned disk was: 32,256 bytes

Yet ABR11 is touted in the KB as being *fully* SSD aware. This really is not specific to SSDs. If a disk-cloning operation does not honor what was originally there, I fail to see how the term 'clone' can be used to describe what it does.

The work-around of restoring with a specific offset is exactly what one would do with a completely SSD-unaware application and seems to render the 'cloning' function totally useless.
