Hi all,
I'm using acronis backup and recovery advanced server installed on a dell R710 with W2k8 R2 and a power vault SAS tape library LTO 124T.
At this time abras10 do not support and mange fully on w2k8 R2 X64, this library, the cause is that microsoft do not re - implement RMS in w2k8 R2.
Did acronis working on this problem and when could i have a solution or any Update?
I have to change the tapes manually, and i can't manage it like some other competitor product like.
It' a real problem thas push me on the way of recorvery solution change.

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I completely understand your concern and will be glad to shed the light to the situation.

Unfortunately I cannot give you any timeframes regarding when this will be implemented, but I can suggest you a temporary workaround: 

since we're accessing tape loaders through Storage Node, and presence of it on the machine is not necessary for successful backup process, we can install ASN onto any other machine, that has RSM support, like Windows XP. After the installation onto an alternative machine you will be able to set autoejection of tapes and manage autoloader.

I have also forwarded your comment to the Development and Product Management team.I'm sure it will help us to speed up the process of improving the situation.

Fine i've doing the workaround that you propose.
I've installed the LTO4 autoloader on a w2k3 sp2 entreprise edition, deploy the ASN on this server.
now in the mangement console, i've create a new managing node ( the host w2k3 with the autoloader.
But the only operation i can do is, changing the name off the tapes on the node or doing a manual ejection off them.
I'm not able to manage my tapes like backup exc (i do have one on on my exchange), could not create some tapes pool, no auto load of the tape, impossible to choose witch tape for witch week automatically.
And when i try to do a backup on the node the job starts and stay at 4 % dont going away, if i need to stop the job the off this job is already on stopping,
i must restart the server to re initiale all the services.
Maby i'm doing some mistake of false configuration could you help?
