Accessing external hard drive prompts for username and password

Greetings.

I am trying to access an image I have from an external hard drive plugged in via usb. When I select the hard drive, it prompts me for a username and password. There is no username and password on the hard drive that I am aware of. Does anyone have a solution for this or has anyone run into this issue before?
