Acronis 11 on ASUS P8C "unable to load Linux kernel"

Thread needs solution

I have been using Acronis 11 with ASUS A8N-SLI and ASUS P7F-X RAID-1 WinXP installations for years without problems. I am building a new ASUS P8C RAID-1 Win7 64bit Pro system and when I attempt to backup the initial Win7 installation using the Acronis bootable CD I get an error: "unable to load Linux kernel." If I remove the RAID-1 hard drives, Acronis will load, but of course will not be able to find any hard drives. I have read about Microsoft/Linux incompatibilities associated with BIOS/UEFI and Secure Boot. I would appreciate any information as to whether Acronis 11 should work with the new P8C system or if there is a newer version of Acronis that can creat bootable media that will work with an ASUS P8C RAID-1 Win7 64bit Pro installation.

TIA

Secure boot problem doesn't apply here because you already booted to Acronis loader. If linux-based media doesn't work, you can create WinPE-based media with your RAID drivers, this should work fine in your scenario. However if you need restore with reboot functionality or Startup Recovery Manager (on F11 button) you need to solve this problem. You can download the latest .iso of bootable media from your account, if you're not already on 17440 build.
