Acronis Backup and Recovery 11: Unable to delete stale current activities

Thread needs solution

When I click on Tools, Current Activities in AMS I have a small list of activities that have not completed - such as cataloging.

I select the activity that I want to stop/delete, but I am unable to stop/delete the activity item.

I have rebooted several times, verified my running services, and browsed SQL databases to try and find the source of the problem.

I've connected to each of my Acronis Appliances and they do not have any tasks/activities listed.

I am using ABR 11 release 17217.

My AMS server, License Server, and management console all run on my vCenter server.

I've attached a screenshot that shows the Current Activites.

Thanks in advance for any assistance or recommendations.

Same issue, pretty much every day, and 24511 rarely fixes it alone. see my post in http://forum.acronis.com/forum/24514. Also, the stop button appears to do nothing at all except give you something to press to feel better about yourself.

We are having this issue with ABR 11 release 17437.

We have two jobs that are stuck on "need interaction." No matter what I do, including restarting services on both the AMS server and the machine where the recover is being performed, the tasks are still stuck.

I tried the fix here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/24511

No good, as you can imagine.

Hello Peter,

In case the issue remains, please gather Acronis Info, and send it to support directly alongside with the screenshot of the issue. The problem will be escalated to the Development team.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.

The Acronisinfo utility crashes every time with this showing up in the event viewer:

Faulting application systeminfo.exe, version 11.0.0.17318, time stamp 0x4e799c9a, faulting module MSVCR80.dll, version 8.0.50727.4016, time stamp 0x49cc5361, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00011eeb, process id 0x1cb4, application start time 0x01cd140576aba243.

I've tried starting the utility with all the switches in the KB you showed, and it still crashes.

Thanks for your time,

Peter

I actually decided to use schedmgr.exe task zap
And it worked. It actually didn't delete the tasks I wanted to keep, it just stopped the ones that were broken. I misunderstood that it would require me to recreate the backup tasks.

So... Sorry for the trouble. But, it's working, now.

Thank's for your time and help. I appreciate it.

Peter
