Acronis Backup and Recovery SBS. FTP to remote server
Hi,
I have been using True Image for a while now, and I am trying something a bit new.
I have a server that I have imaged off with the trial version of the software, and the resulting TIB file is about 35GB.
I need to have the server image itself to an FTP server that I have on the Internet.
Of course its going to be impossible to back all 35GB off in an overnight job, so what I have done is get the server imaged off to a USB drive and then took said drive back to the FTP server and copied the image to the FTP directory, with a hope that I could then increment the image via FTP from that point onwards.
This doesnt seem to have worked as the job started, and then just started to create a fresh image.
Can anyone tell me if what I am trying to do is possible?
Gavin.

Hello Gavin and Schneider!
Thank you for finding time to report about the issue, I entirely understand your concern and will be glad to help you!
Incremental task starts to create the full backup in 2 cases:
- It cannot properly identify the backup
- The backup is corrupted
In your case since the backup was copied to the FTP it wasn't splitted according to the FTP architecture, thus it cannot be properly recognised. So in order to resolve the issue please kindly choose in Manual options Archive Splitting to be equal 2 Gb, and only after that save the image to the FTP.
I would appreciate if you could kindly keep us updated regarding the issue.
Should you need anything else - feel free to leave a comment here, and we will definitely help you!
Thank you!
