Hello everbody,

I work for the high school in informatics from Fribourg (Switzerland). We backup 17 servers with Acronis. We have a problem, I've installed 2 agents on a mail server (Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Entreprise x64 Edition). The first one is for backuping the system and the second for backuping our mail database (Exchange). But when the second works, the first one cannot work. We have any backup from our system since 2 month. Dou you know an issue ?

We have a second problem, I tried to restore a backup with the administration console. And when the server reboot it doesn't go to the console but it reboots normally, do you know why ?

Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our forum. I will definitely assist you with this issue.

The first problem occurs because both our programs use the same Acronis Scheduler Service which plays an important role in backups. If one backup task is running the second one will not start until the first one finishes. You can try re-scheduling your backups so that they take place one after the other or on different days. I would also recommend to check this Knowledge Base article which suggests the best way to install both of our products on one machine so that they work correctly.

The second issue would require additional investigation. Are there any errors during the reboot? Do you have any USB devices attached to your machine? The fastest way to resolve this problem would be to contact our Support team. As a workaround, please restore your computer using the bootable media.

Thank you for your response. I will change my planification, it's okay. For the second issue, I don't have any errors during the reboot and any USB devices attached. Our server boot normally but to Windows and not to the console of restoration. The restoration with the bootable media work fine.
