Hello Ed,

thanks for reporting about the problem.

The issue's obviously related to the snapshot drivers, but might be caused by several causes: either the snapapi drivers installation, or the errors on the target drive.

Please do the following:

  1. Go to Start -> Run -> cmd
  2. Issue the following command :
    chkdsk /f /r
  3. Press Y when the command line offers you to run the diagnostics on the next boot up
  4. Restart the machine

Windows will check the drives for consistency and fix errors if any.

If it doesn't help, please install snapapi update from this link: https://kb.acronis.com/sites/default/files/content/2006/07/2159/snapapi…

Please note that this snapapi version is suitable for ABR10/11 and ATIH2010/2011 only.

If the problem still remains please send us Acronis Info

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.

I found this answer on another site and it worked for me.

Stated receiving this error on a client’s server about a week ago. After hunting around found that the “Acronis VSS Provider Service” was started, disabled it and bingo works again.
