Acronis Bakcup & Recovery 11 Disk Level Backups are slow

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Our Setup:

File Server IP (VM): 192.168.1.110 (Where windows agent is installed)
Management and Storage Node IP: 192.168.1.111 (Where Tape Drive is connected)
1 Gbps of LAN connectivity is there between File-Server and Management Server

We used to take the disk level backup (1.5 TB) in 20 Hours to external tape drive, where we used to get 40 MB/sec transfer rate. Recently we have reinstalled ABR 11, but now we are getting 1 MB/sec for the disk level backups.

Hello ramesh petla,

Thank you for posting this issue in our forum.

Troubleshooting performance issues is very difficult. I recommend to create a network traffic log with the tool provided in this article from our knowledge base. Then create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

Is this of any use here?

I have two Win XP PCs linked via a wired ethernet 100Mb/s router. I suddenly found that one of the PCs could not access file shares on the other, getting the message 'Not enough server space....'.

I had also found that ATI 9 was suddenly very slow to backup across the network.

I applied the solution found here:

How to fix "Not enough server storage is available to process this command"

to correct the network file access problem. I applied this to the sharing PC first and it worked perfectly.

I wondered if this was related to the Acronis slow network backup problem and applied the same correction to the other PC.

Bingo, problem solved.
