Acronis B&R 10 need very long to validate the Image
Hello,
i have a Problem on a Notebook with B&R 10 Build 13544 (Info, i patched B&R last week to 13544 on Monday, but same Problem as before). On this machine runs a full backup with validation. The Problem is, the backup runs in 2 hours but the validaion takes nearly 8 hours and then it crashs with an error.

Hi Colin,
sorry for the late answer but i had to wait till the user get back to the office
The USB Drive is directly connectet to the Laptop.
In the Laptop is an Card Reader integrated.
Both drives are NTFS.
The Image is 60 GB big.
The Problem with the validation was not from begining after the installation, it starts for nearly 4 weeks. But there isn´t anything new installed around this date.......
Any Ideas ?
Thx

Christoph,
Is the validation a separate task or part of the main task? Could you find out if running a manual validation works.
Card readers can sometimes cause problems with Acronis products, but I would have expected it to show up during the imaging and not just the validation.
How much RAM does the user have and does the USB port run at full speed?
At this point I would suggest one of two things.
1. Re-install ABR10.
2. Try moving the USB drive to a different port and see if there is any improvement.

Hi Colin,
the Laptop has 4 GB RAM. The USB run at full speed.
I havent run a separate task, the validation is part to the main backup task.
I will Try to move the usb port and run a singel validation task.
i will give a feedback.
thx so far.
Christoph
