IS Acronis B&R Windows 7 compatible?

Thread needs solution

Hey,
I installed the retail version of Win7 Pro, and I am having problems with Acronis B&R10. The license server and the PXE server seem ok, but the local management console doesn't want to startup and there a lot of other small issues.
My question is. Is this product tested for Windows 7?

I guess not since there is no response. I guess I will have to backup manually with the restore disk.

Ok, I will answer my own post.
I got it to work on Win7, but I had to put the license server on another, Server2003, computer. It seems the license server won't install because it cannot find the localhost. But I could not register any of the licensed products.

Good luck. B&R is a tough install.

Hello Dan,

Thank you for taking time to contact us.

Acronis License Server supports Windows 7 starting from build #11105. Please make sure that you are using the latest build available for now (#11133).

I understand that moving the License Server to another machine doesn't make any sense, but the below information can  be useful for another customers.

So, you run Acronis License Server Management Console and in the main window you click Manage Licenses. Acronis License Server Management Console shows the following error message:

The possible causes of the encountered issue are:

- Acronis Remote Agent service is not started;

- Firewall settings block the connection;

- SSL certificate is incorrectly generated.

To resolve the issue please perform the following steps:

- Try to manually start Acronis Agent on the machine where Acronis License Server is installed:

* Go to Start -> Run -> services.msc

* Right-click on the Acronis Remote Agent, and click on Restart.

- Check Firewall settings as described in Firewall Settings for Acronis Products;

- Try disabling SSL encryption as described in Acronis Management Console Cannot Connect to Remote Components.

Please let me know if the provided information is unclear.

Thank you.
