Acronis makes many Backup Files e.g. MyBackup1, MayBackup2 on NTFS HDD

Thread needs solution

Hallo,

i have a problem with Acronis TrueImage Echo Server on Server 2003.
Acronis makes some different files on my Buffalo SAN eg. MyBackup1.tib, MyBackup2.tib ...
I have not the FAT32 problem!!

If i backup 100gb, Acronis makes MyBackup1 with e.g. 33GB and MyBackup2 with 17GB and
MyBackup3 with 3.4GB .

Where is the problem? Can someone help me here?
A few weeks ago the problem was not there.

when Acronis Echo makes files with this numbers at the end of the files it is generally a network disconnection problem.

if you choose "MyBackup.tib" as backup file name, in normal activity acronis creates a file named "MyBackup1.tib", at the end of backup it renames this file to "MyBackup.tib". It the backup is interrupted for some reason, it will continue with another file naming it "MyBackup2.tib".

to solve this problem please post here your acronis logs so we can analyze them.

Hello all,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
Marcus,
Emanuele is correct, the issue is related to network connection problems. Try to recreate the task specifying your SAN drive using the IP address and see if the issue still persists. Also reduce the Network connection speed value in default options.
If the issue remains, please save the archive locally and after that copy the file to your SAN drive and let us know the results.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
