Acronis Managed Machine Service is Unavailable
I am running ABR Workstation on Windows XP Professional. I am getting a balloon message stating "Acronis Managed Machine Service is Unavailable" on every reboot. The message goes away after the boot process completes and when checked, the service is started. I installed ABR on another machine as a test and it does the same thing on machine #2. I am running the latest build - fresh install.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

And why must that ballon message be shown? When an error occurs, the message is helpful, but when everything is ok, the balloon message is needless, in my opinion.

Hi Anton,
I have to agree with the last reply. If the message is really not an error, can something be done to optimize the code so there is more time allocated on startup before an error message is presented? That seems reasonable since the balloon message is from Acronis, not Windows.
Thanks.

Hello Forellenblau and Steven,
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.
The reason that the balloon message is shown with the error message, is because our software requires some time to initialize the Acronis Managed Machine service. As I mentioned in my previous post, our Development team is constantly trying to optimize the code, so that the service initializes faster, but at the moment, that balloon indicates that the program will not function properly.
I will create a Customer Listening Case for this and forward it to our development and as a workaround, you can modify your system tray icons by using this tutorial.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.
