Acronis True Image 2010 Home

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I just got involved in back up system a few days ago and there are tonnes of question I need to find out. Basically, I have 3 computers,

Computer A - The main server
Computer B - The back up server
Computer C - Computer that I use to back up data from Computer A to Computer B

According to my manager, we are using NAS back up. So, my questions are..

1. where can get a manual to do that?
2. If I have the manul, which section should I be reading?
3. if the manual does not exist, could someone please teach me how to do the backup?

Thank you soooo much,

Best Regards
JT

Hello Ji Tang,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Let me assist you.

You can use Acronis True Image in such environment, but you'll be able to back up shared files/folders only. If you want to back up the whole drives/partitions remotely from your 3rd PC, you need to have a look at Acronis Backup&Recovery 10 product line. Also please note that if you have server OS installed (such as Windows 2003/2008 Server) you need to use Server versions of Acronis software.

With the Advanced versions of Workstation and Server software you can install Management Console to the 3rd PC and Acronis Agent to the PC you want to back up and manage all tasks remotely.

All User's Guides are available on our web site in PDF format, so you can download it using the below links:

Additionally, I recommend you to download a trial version of Acronis software you want to try using this link. The functional limitation of Acronis trial version is that you can only restore and validate an image when you run the program from the bootable media. Windows version is functional for 15 days only and it does not have any more limitations.

I'm moving this thread to the correct section of the forum since only corporate software can accomplish your goals.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions, I'll be glad to assist you further.

Thank you.
