Acronis won't run, uninstall, or reinstall

I have Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.0.0.17437 installed on two machines, one running Windows 2008 Standard and the other Windows 2008 R2. All Windows updates and service packs are installed. The Acronis Managed Machine Service will not run on the Windows 2008 Standard computer. I tried uninstalling Acronis, but the uninstall errors out when trying to remove Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Agent for Windows. Reinstalling seems to succeed, but the service will not run. If I try to start Acronis, I get an error in the event log that mms.exe crashes (probably simple because the service isn't running). When I look at the properties of the service on the two machines, the 2008R2 lists Remote Procedure Call, with DCOM Server Process Launcher and RPC Endpoint Mapper. The 2008 Standard (where Acronis doesn't work) lists only Remote Procedure Call with the DCOM Server Process Launcher. Any idea what's up and how I can fix this?
