All restored file have wrong name
One of my customers use AB&R 11 Server for Windows Build 11.0.17437 to backup every night a linux storage with 1,4Tb of filex ( kind of file: InDesign, QuarkExpress, Photoshop, Illustrator ).
AB&R 11 read the files from a network samba folder and backup all files to a external firewire disk.
Backup process work perfect but today i have try to restore some folder to test backup archive and procedure and I noticed that the files are restored correctly, but the name is completely wrong.
An examble:
Original filename:
COVER_HD.qxd
Restored filename:
87FMH9DK~COVER_HD.qxd~
Why AB&R11 do it ? How can i fix it ?

Please check if you are working with the latest Version of your Acronis Product. See here, how to get the latest build.
What he meant dev-anon is right. You should first try to restore the files back to the original location, but into a different location.
If the issue persist, then please collect following Information:
- Screenshots of all of your restore steps, restore task, view to the samba share via Windows Explorer;
- Information about how exactly the recovery was done. (via boot media, management console, etc);
- The logs from Acronis. Go to Log in navigation tree, choose the logs from recovery and click on Save selected to file.
- The exact used build number;
The collected information helps our Support Professionals to reduce time in analyzing the data and issue. It speeds up the resolution process because we will have the chance to analyze all the available information.

Yesterday i tried to restore from last backup archive a random folder for a restore test....i restored 1 folder directy to Windows XP with Acronis B&R 11. All the file in the .tib archive show like 87FMH9DK~COVER_HD.qxd~ ....1400Gb !!!!
The backup procedure start every night when the company is closed and no one work...it's impossible that the files are in use.
As i wrote i do not use the latest build but the penultimate...17437.....and in case of disaster recovery i need to restore entire backup everywhere ( Linux, Windows, Apple ) without this strange filename.
Any idea or fix solution ?
