Anyone use universal restore on Server 2008?

Thread needs solution

I'm hoping to move a Server 2008 system that is currently on SATA drives onto a SCSI-based disk array. The system hardware will be the same. The SCSI controller that will be used is already in the machine, so no new hardware will be added, just different boot drives. After the backup, the SATA drives and the controller will be disabled before the restore.

Will this work? Has anyone done this successfully before? Do I need to do anything special?

Thanks!

Greg

Actually you have it easy. Since the drivers for the SCSI controller are already installed and it is the same hardware you don't even need to use Universal Restore. I have done this several times on SBS 2008 not explicitly Server 2008.
