Anything new since version 8 or 9 with ABR for Windows Server

Would anyone tell me what has changed since version 8/9 in ABR for Windows server 11. Since version 8 of SBS version, I managed to use two harddisk to be recognized as the same drive letter. Then, I scheduled two task alternatingly between odd days (M-W-F) and even days (T-T). Inside both harddrives I setup two folders: OddDays and EvenDays where odd days task will backup to OddDays folder and so is even days. I also utilize the Pre-Execution script to delete the previous day backup, e.g. say today is wednesday, the script deletes the monday backup in OddDays folder to make room for today's backup. Well, by tricking the whole system my life is rosy. The exact same thing I did for version 9 for Windows server as well and it works successfully.

Ever since my client changes to Windows 2008 the only version I can buy would be the Acronis 10/11. Now I attempted the exact above trick to this however it works halfway then stops. I checked the logs in the past 2-3 months, some backup failed, other failed and resumed but failed again. The file is there and openable but some files can't be opened when mounted. So, would somebody advise what is going on with the current version. I have tested various backup method from simple backup to custom, to no avail. I pretty much lost time in the past 4 months as sometime when I remember I have to manually run it and it did successfully. I keep receiving this error number 56, 3 and 704.

Would somebody advise if it's still possible to do harddisk swapping using the technique above in ABR 11.
