Archive protection, password not working - I know it's the correct password and can prove it...

Hello - Strange issue here, TI Backup Essentials v11.7.  I set archive protection to encrypt (256bit) and also set a password. I documented the password - I know the password.  When testing the recovery process, it will not accept the password.  How do I know the password is the correct password you ask?  Because when I go into default job options, and change the password - the default password for new jobs, then go back and edit the existing job, it will say the default options have changed and give me a chance to update to the default options.  However, I left the original job as default and then go back into default options and type the correct password, the password that I know is correct and that the job was originally configured with - then go edit the job - it does not complain about the default options being different.  Any help would be appreciated.
