Auto wake up and execute plan?

Is there a way to do this:

Create a plan to backup a server at a certain time say, every 7 days and auto run the plan?
Is there a way to then auto wake up the computer (which will execute the plan) and start the backup plan? The backup plan would be pointing to a different machine altogether which will then state to backup that machine?

if so - how?

im using Advanced Server.
