Backing up files with snapshot enabled causes system hang

Thread needs solution

Hi,

when backing up in filemode and aktivating snapshot on fillevel, this results in a visual c+++ error an the system goes down. The system only can be hard resetted. Without snapshot, the backup is unusable, because ABR skipping nearly every file on beeing supposedly in access, but definitely this is not case.

Whats wrong ?

Please make sure that you are using the latest build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 (#11133). If the build number differs from the latest one, please download and install the latest build. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here.

After that please do the following in order to enable mini-dumps, please attach them to your next post:

If you use Windows XP:

- Right click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties";
- Go to "Advanced" tab;
- Go to "Startup" and "Recover Settings";
- Choose "Small memory dump" in "Write debugging information" box;
- Close all the dialog windows by clicking OK buttons.

Now, please reproduce the system crash and send us the mini-dumps created. This will allow us to investigate the problem thoroughly.

If you use Windows Vista:

- Open "Start";
- Right click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties";
- Select "Advanced system settings" item;
- Go to "Advanced" tab;
- Go to "Startup and Recover" Settings;
- Choose "Small memory dump" in "Write debugging information" box;
- Close all the dialog windows by clicking OK buttons.

Now, please reproduce the system crash and send us the mini-dumps created. This will allow us to investigate the problem thoroughly.

Please be aware that the %SystemRoot% value is the location of the operating system folder. The default path on a clean installation depends upon the version of the operating system. By default in Windows NT 5.1 (Windows XP) and newer versions it is \WINDOWS.
