Backing up Recovering and changing SID in !in 7

Thread needs solution

I use this acronis product to change Duplicate SIDs on our network. We use a program that uses each computers SID as its reference point, when i have two the same the whole program screws up.

Last week i used Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Workstation - with universal restore on a computer, and it changed the SID, easy as.

This week i have another two I need to change both Win 7 professional.

I go into options and in recovery options select change SID

I go in and backup the entire disk.

I then reboot and load acronis in boot.

I click on options, and select change SID.then i recover the disk.

Computer does its thing.

It runs through reboots and loads into Win 7.

I check the SID and it is the same. It does not change. but it worked fine last week.

I have tried every combination and made several backups. I am doing the exact same thing.

anything obvious i am missing? i have run through the manual. i have uninstalled and installed it again.

any ideas?
