Backup Deletion Issue when using version 10 on backups make with Echo

Thread needs solution

Over the past half year we have been using echo and everything was fine. I was splitting my backup into 1.950 GB sections and had two NAS devices that would automatically clone each other (via ftp).

I then installed version 10. Setup the backups and everything was fine. Still have the 1.950 GB sections. All looks good. I notice that the NAS device is 80+ percent full so I decide to clear a little off by going in and deleting some incremental backups.

I add the "store" for backups made with version 9 on server A. I go and select the backup and click delete and then it brings up all the backups and you get to select which ones to delete. So I select all the incrementals between the first full backup and the last differential backup. I then press go. Hours later it finishes successfully.

What happened is that it took my all 112 of the 2 GB files, created a new backup of 3 files. One 127 GB (Full), one 9 GB (Differential) and one Incremental 1.2 GB. Of course this caused my automated ftp cloning on the NAS devices to fail because ftp can not handle file sizing greater than 2 GB.

I thought to myself, that there has to be a way to get it back to my preferred sectioning of 1.950 GB. So I went and change the default backup options in ABR 10 to match all the options I wanted including the splitting the backup into 1.950 GB sections.

I then added a "store" for backups made on version 9 for server B. I repeated the backup deletion process and selected the incrementals. Unfortunately it appears ABR 10 converts the echo version of the backup to a version 10 backup file but fails to give one any options in the conversion.

Is this how it is suppose to be or am I doing something wrong?
