Backup failing - "paused for unknown reason"
I'm getting consistent backup failures. Even when the backup completes it's taking far longer than I'm used to with prior versions of the Acronis backup products. The software is running on Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB or RAM and the volumes being backed up.
I've seen, what seem to be, similar issues in other posts but nothing directly on point.
The product and version is: Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 (build 10.0.11345).
The following error appears in the log:
Type: Error
Date and time: 2/25/2010 07:26:12
Backup plan: Backup 1/20/2010 12:33:28

Any help would be appreciated. I'm used to being able to depend on Acronis backup actually working and if the prior version worked on Windows 7 I'd revert to it in a heartbeat.

Hello,
VSS was not enabled and the backup isn't failing all the time but it fails often enough to concern me.
Using Echo Workstation I can't remember when I had a backup failure while with B&R 10 I get failures several times a month.
I did have "multi-volume snapshots" enabled. I'll try disabling that since it's not really necessary for this workstation.

Hello John Schmid,
Thank you for replying.
I am very sorry about the failed backups, I would like to help you with this. As you mentioned, you get failures several times a month. Do all of these failures have the same error message?
Just in case, I would still recommend to download and apply the SnapApi update. It is currently version 512. I shall send you a private message with the unique download link that I will generate for you.
Please let me know if you continue running into issues or have any other questions.
Thank you.
