Brian,

What version and build of ABR are you using and is this on a Workstation/PC or a Server?

You could try either extracting the individual installer files or run a repair directly from the ABR install program and select to repair/re-install the UserAgent.

If by updating the logon credentials via MMs in Services.msc be aware that if you allowed ABRxx to install with default values the User logon will be an arbitary one decided by ABR, it may not work if you change it to your log on especially if you installed for 'all users'.

Make sure your user logon is a member of the Backup Operators group and if required Acronis Remote Users.

You may not be aware that you've posted in the Acronis Internet Security forum, you'll get more users viewing your thread if you transfer this to either ABR10 or ABR11 forum (if that is what you are using). You can move the thread by editing your post and selecting the correct forum heading from the drop down box which will be on the top left of the text form.

Thanks for your insight colin, i will try out the things you mentioned and i didn't realize that i had posted in the wrong forum.

FYI:
Currently i am working in Acronis Backup and Recovery version 11.0.17217, and it is running on Windows Small Business Sever 2008 SP1.
12gb Ram, 64bit, 2.6ghz intell xeon CPU.
