Backup hangs and then unable to stop

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have a backup plan set to run at 2am every morning to backup C:\Backups and D:\Backups folders to locally connected tape drive. The total folder size is 1.3TB and I am using an Ultium LTO5 tape with 1.5TB native storage.

When the backup runs it gets to about 40%, hangs and does not proceed. I am then unable to stop the backup and I have to restart the backup server to run the backup again. Again it gets to 40% an hangs.

I have created a new backup plan and am still having the issue.

I have checked the backup log and there is 3 errors (attached) advising that DiskBundle.dll is corrupt. I haven't been able to find too much info regarding this specific error with DiskBundle being corrupt. Does anyone have any ideas. I want to try to avoid a reinstall if I can.

Thanks

Hello Paul,

you can check if the repair installation or clean installation can help in this case.

Otherwise I would suggest downloading a trial version of Acronis Backup 11.5 and if it also fails to backup contact our support.

Thank you.
