Backup to local USB HDD when using bootable media

We would like to be able to boot a machine from Acronis-created CD and then back the internal HDD image up to a local USB HDD. We are NOT interested in installing Acronis on the machines to be managed in this project. I downloaded ABR11A, installed it, and generated a bootable media. I then booted the target (laptop) computer from the bootable media. When attempting to perform a backup of the internal HDD, ABR11A says that " a license is required ... online backup only". I thought that the 15-day trial allowed access to ALL features. Should I have entered the serial number somewhere else?

Hi Hank.

Dev-Anon is correct the Trial version will not allow you to backup from a recovery CD, when you purchase the product you will not have this limitation of cause. Just keep in mind each system you are planning on backing up should have a license.
