backup plan does not end

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I am a newbie, testing my first ABR installation. I have a backup plan working at 75% for over a day now despite of all including backups have ended successfully. The plan is not stoppable buy STOP.

How can i cancel it?

Regards
Joerg

Same again today.... yesterday it works properly. Today hang at 73%.... cant find a way to kill it nor why it happens----

How can I cancel a hanging job?

I have probably the same problem. A backup-job stays in the activity-list as "requiring interaction". This job is there for a full month now and won't go away. The affected user already did lots of successful backups in the meantime - this job is definitely stale. But can't be deleted.

I put this away as a cosmetic bug I can live with for now.

This morning still the same: New job started hanging at 0%.
Maybe theres an error in the backup definition.
But how to stop it when the job cant get killed by "stop".....

I have similar problems. This software has an AMAZING amount of bugs, especially for a backup software. How can I trst any backup this thing ever makes to be recoverable?

Hello all,

Thank you for your comments, and for reporting about the issue. I would like to help you with the situation.

I completely understand how confusing and upsetting the situation can be. Unfortunately due to the lack of investigation information we cannot say what caused the issue, and the tasks may hang due some natural conflict like network connectivity, etc. It can also be a low-level drivers conflict or a scheduler issue.

In order to localize the issue we need the logs. Please gather and share with us Acronis Info, it might help to shed the light onto the situation.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you.

Thank you.

The simple question here is: HOW TO KILL/STOP a running task, so that it really stops und disappears from the activity list?

Any ideas wouldn't go amiss here.

Regards, Ralf
