Backup & Recovery 10 Agent fails with RPC server error
When installing B&R 10 on a laptop with Windows XP SP3, the installation fails when trying to install the first package, the Agent. It rolls back the install. I have downloaded and run the abr_cleanup.exe program and rebooted. This is the exact error displayed. Both of the RPC services are started and running.
I tried to attach the msi log file but got a javascript error three times and gave up.

Hello ! I have exactly the same problem. Please, could you tell me how you resolved yours ?

Hello Loick,
Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you with resolving this issue.
Mark's installation was failing on the CEP component. It is a little application that collects user information which helps us to improve the software. When installing the program, simply select not to participate in the CEP program and I am certain that the installation will succeed.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

That was not my problem, I tried without participate in the CEP program. Actually, Kaspersky was the problem. I desactivated it and the installation worked !
Thank your for your answer.
Loick.

I'm seeing this error while attempting to upgrade my server from version 10 to 11.

Kaspersky was the problem on my end as well. I stopped the services and re-ran the installation, worked fine
