Backup & Recovery Advanced 10.0.12497 - Agent won't install

Thread needs solution

Hi Folks
I try to Install the Update 12497 of ABR AW.
Update fails continiously.

Component that causes th abort error:
Agent

Ok. Tried to be smart. I deinstalled the agent and updated all other components. That worked fine.
Now - finish seems so near - I tried to add the agent by running the modify option in setup .... but failed and got the same error again.
Installation user has domain and local admin rights

Has anyone the same problems?

Here are some infos about my system:
Win7 Enterprise x64
Intel Core2Duo 2.53 Ghz mobile CPU
4 GB DDR2 Ram
... sysinfo file on request

Hello Ralf!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern and will be glad to provide you with necessary assistance.

According to the information you've attached, the issue's caused by the Scheduler failing to install.

The best option here is to remove totally all the traces of Acronis Backup and Recovery product by means of Acronis Backup and Recovery Clean-up Utility and perform the installation once again.

Should the issue remain, please provide us with the MSI log and Windows System Information - this data will help us to localize the issue and find an appropriate solution for it.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Greetings Yana,

the problem has been solved by uninstalling, cleanup and reinstalling ABR 10 - thanks for your tip!

I hope this was the last time that I have to do this procedure (faced those actions 3 times since ABR 10 has become RTM).

Bye from Berlin/Germany

Ralf

Dear Ralf!

Thank you for your comment and for keeping us posted, I really appreciate it, and I'm very glad to hear that the issue got solved!

I'm sorry for you had to run the reinstallation so many times, though I'm quite positive that everything will work fine from now on: we're working on improving the update/upgrade process.

Thank you once again for cooperation and understanding!

I had a similar problem, I cleared my registry using CCleaner and reinstalled and it worked fine.
