Backup & Recovery Workstation 10.0.11105 doesn't run with an iPod plugged in
Hi, please can someone confirm if my experience is down to a compatibility issue or something has gone wrong which I can fix?
Build #11105 of the product (I haven't tried earlier builds and would prefer not to) doesn't run with iPod (classic, 5th gen) plugged in. Without it plugged in, it's fine. With it plugged in, this message pops up:
"Acronis Managed Machine Service has encountered a problem and needs to close....
I appreciate Ipods don't follow exactly the spec for mass storage, but it's still a bug, for me. Once I get this error message, which is consistant, Acronis B&R W won't work again until I restart my Windows XP SP3 PC (no good just logging off then on).
I'm currently trying the demo and this doesn't bode well! True Image Echo Workstation 9 had this problem once, but it got fixed at least by build 9.5.8163. Now the problem seems to be back!
By the way, I've had to follow the workaround here

because Acronis B&R W was crashing my PC due to a USB card reader, and that fixed this problem.
I shall keep an eye on this post and reply to anyone that needs more info. Many thanks.

We have released a new build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 (build #11133). Please download and install the latest build. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here. See if the issue remains.
