Dear Terry!

Thank you for finding time to share your concerns with us. I entirely understand how confusing the error may be and will be glad to shed the light to the situation.

There is nothing to worry about, and this error can be safely ignored: it doesn't affect product functionality. It appears in case there are some traces of the deleted tasks left in the registry. In order to get rid of the message, please follow these instructions:

  1. Download Acronis Scheduler Manager. Open command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd); run schedmgr.exe and issue the following command:
    task zap
This will erase all traces of the tasks.
  2. Update Scheduler as mentioned in this article
  3. Reboot the machine
  4. Recreate the tasks

This should resolve the issue faced. Should it persist, please provide us with Acronis Info from machine in quesiton.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Yana,

Dear Terry,

Thank you for getting back to me! I appreciate you found time to leave a comment, and update me.

It's ok, the error can be safely ignored, as it's just a trace of the old deleted task, and it doesn't affect backup creation or product performance.

If you wish, you can delete just the trace that causes errors to appear:

  1. Run schedmgr.exe and issue this command
    get list
It will provide you with the list of tasks you have
  2. Find the one you need to delete and enter the following command:
    task [task_number]
This will get you to this task menu
  3. As soon as you are in the task menu, enter
    Delete
and the task will be removed

Let me know if you have any concerns or questions, I will be glad to help you.

Thank you!

Yana,

Hello Terry,

Thank you for the follow-up.

The error message "Task With ID XXX Does Not Exist" occurs because a script for this task was not completely removed. You can always use Yana's fix or this KB article for the solution and if you would like to investigate it please contact our Support team with this report.

If you need additional help please let me know.

Thank you.

Anton,

I have allready did that fix for 3 times now but i keeps coming back so i have really no clue what to do now or where this strange error come's from.

Can you please advice me what to do next?

Thanks
