Backups Will Not Validate "Invalid Archive URI"
Backups will not validate. I have set up two identical tasks, one with validation after a full backup and one without. The one with validation fails every time. I have tried re-creating the task and the archive still no luck. I am backing up to external USB hard drives and this issue seems to occur on all backup drives.
This started several months ago, I went ahead and updated to the latest build. That did not resolve the issue.
I have also pulled an AcronisInfo file.
Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Its a full disk image of two different volumes. OS and Program volumes.
I am able to open the image files and browse through the contents. I'm working from remote so I don't have a Rescue CD.
Perhaps I should change the task and just try one volume at a time to see if that makes a difference? That way i could try an internal backup too.
Thanks for the tips.

When you say you're working remotely, does that mean you are trying to validate over a network or via Windows Remote Desktop?

I am having the exact same problem backing up to a USB external drive on a Wondows 2003 server. I can validate the backup using a separate Validate task, but when the validation is included as part of the Backup task (by creating a full backup task and then tell it to validate after a full backup), it fails every time. See attached jpg for screen shot of the error.

Please post the screenshot of this backup plan's parameters on its 'edit backup plan' page

I had to split screen shots to get it all.
FYI - When I first open the edit screen it makes me re-enter credentials. Also, the USB drive is a shared external drive on another server. It all was working great with the old version of Acronis.

Validation-after-backup of 'latest backup' seems to fail if archive is named in Echo style.
I tried to create file backup of a small folder, to local vault, using echo naming style, scheme: backup now, type - full, validate after full, incremental, validate 'the latest backup'. Backup was created, validation failed with 'invalid uri' error. Setting validation to 'entire archive' seems to work. Or not using Echo style.
