Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have in my network servers with Oracle database, SQLServer, MySQL, Active Directory, Windows File Server, Microsoft Exchange 2007 and other servers Linux, Unix and Windows server 2003/2008R. I wonder what would be the best solution from Acronis should I use to ensure Backup and Disaster Recovery?

Hello Ngudya Sousa,

Thank you for your post. I will definitely help you with your question.

We have a wide range of programs that can best suite your needs.

For example, Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Advanced Server can be used to backup your existing Windows and Linux operating systems together with the databases. There are two types of agents in the program, one is for Windows and the other for Linux. Please check this article for information about ABR10 Agent OS support in Windows and Linux operating systems.

As for the databases, you can create a full disk backup that will include your databases, provided you have Acronis VSS enabled. Please use this article for instructions.

The ABR10 agent works the following way. It is installed on a machine which then can be managed remotely through the Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Management Console. In Windows, you can install the console on the same machine with the agent. The Linux agent can only be managed remotely.

We also have a standalone/local version for Linux operating systems. It is called Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Server for Linux. It supports the following operating systems.

If you require more flexible management of your databases, that is if you want to backup mailboxes for example, you can check the following products:

 - Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server
 - Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange

You are more then welcome to download a trial version and test it. The trial version is fully functional for 15 days and we offer 30 day free trial technical support.

If you need additional assistance or have any other questions, please let me know.

Thank you.
