Bootable media 12457 credential request loop

Thread needs solution

Hello everybody.

I created a new bootable media after updating all the components to the latest release.
I noticed shortly after an interesting beaviour:
when I boot a machine with the media and connect to it through a remote management console, I can't log in.
The login window repeatedly prompts me for username and password, even though I didn't specify any during the media creation process.
In the past I would type any character in order to log in, but this isn't the case anymore.

Am I doing anythyng wrong?

Thank you.

I noticed this as well.

Also it slower to pull up an image since it seems to be doing some consistency checks.

Hello Hyphen and Sven,

Thank you very much for posting. I will definitely assist you.

We do not have any reports about this issue in our internal system. I would recommend the following way to resolve it. Please update the Acronis Bootable Media builder and see if this fixes the problem, it is possible the necessary components did not update properly. You can do it the following way:

1. From Windows add/remove programs uninstall Acronis Bootable Media builder.

2. Launch the installation file and navigate through the wizard until your reach a menu with Repair/Modify/Remove. Select modify and check the Bootable Media build checkbox.

Please try reproducing the issue.

If it re-occurs, please collect the following reports and kindly contact our Support team:

1. AcronisInfo.

2. Screenshots of each step in the bootable media creation wizard while creating the bootable media.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
