B&R 10 Advanced Server Virtual - help OLEG!
Ok, this is my fault, but still - help. I was testing backups of servers from the new build (11345) in my ESX environment. The job had succeeded except it was validating. The server being backed up were test servers so I deleted them while the task was running. Now I get these 2 errors below, can you tell me how to get rid of them?
Error 1:

Hello Jeff,
Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
To resolve the issue please do the following (you should know the name of the policy):
- Extract it to a partition on the machine where the Acronis Management Server is installed;
- Hit Start-Run -> cmd to enter Windows Command Line and browse to where the script is;
- Issue the following command:
delete_policy_by_name.vbs "PolicyName"
where PolicyName is the name of the policy. Make sure the name is in the quotes.
For example
delete_policy_by_name.vbs 'Backup 11/26/2009 2:22:31 PM"
The script will then delete the policy from the Acronis Management Server.
I assume that since you have removed the test policy, you don't remember the name of the policy.
That's why I suggest you the following:
1) Stop the virtual appliance and delete it from the host.
2) Delete the appropriate script in the following folders (you can identify the undesired file by the date of its' creation), the files are located on the computer with Acronis Management Server installed:
- If you use Windows 2000, Windows XP/2003:
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\MMS\Policies\
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\MMS\TasksStorage\
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\MMS\PolicyStatistics
- If you use Windows Vista/2008, Windows 7:
\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\MMS\Policies\
\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\MMS\TasksStorage\
\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\MMS\PolicyStatistics
3) Install the Agent for ESX on the ESX host again if it is necessary.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawless for you. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.

Oleg,
On step #2 above, I did not have ANY of the folders and I assume when you say 'ProgramData' you meant 'Program Files'.
In any event, deleting the ESX agent ("AcronisESXAppliance") from the host and reimporting it seems to have worked.
Thanks for your help.

Hello Jeff,
Thank you for your response. I am really glad to hear that the issue has been resolved.
I should have been more specific in describing the solution. I should have mentioned that the files are located on the computer with Acronis Management Server installed and the path is different for Windows XP- based and Windows Vista/Windows 7- based systems.
I am improving my post.
We are always at your service.
Thank you.
